Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok brings one of the United Kingdom's most respected academic institutions to Thailand. The original Wycombe Abbey was founded in 1896 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, by Dame Frances Dove, and has spent well over a century building a reputation for rigorous academics combined with a holistic approach to pupil development — around 28% of its UK graduates go on to Oxford or Cambridge, one of the strongest records of any school in the country.
Opened in Bangkok in August 2026
Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok opened in August 2026 on a 66-acre campus near Thana City on Bangna-Trad Road, ten minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport, and among the largest international school sites in the city. In 2026–2027 the school teaches pupils from Nursery to Year 10, and it will grow year on year into a continuous pathway to Year 13 for pupils aged 2 to 18. *Years 11 and 12 open in August 2027.
Curriculum: IGCSEs and A-Levels, taught by an international teaching staff
The school follows the full British curriculum, leading to IGCSEs and A-Levels, mirroring the academic pathway of the UK campus. Teaching staff are recruited both from the UK and from leading international schools worldwide, and pupils take part in a rich co-curricular programme spanning sport, the arts, music and leadership.
Boarding and pastoral care
Day and boarding places have been available since the school opened. Dedicated boarding facilities sit just five minutes from the main campus, designed to offer a warm, home-like environment underpinned by close pastoral care — boarding is treated as a central part of the educational model here, not an add-on to day schooling.
Extensive facilities on a 66-acre campus
The Bangkok campus includes an Olympic-standard swimming pool, a FIFA-standard football pitch, tennis and golf facilities, basketball courts, a full athletics track, and a 1,000-seat stadium — giving the co-curricular sports programme first-rate facilities.
Elite Sports Programme
Wycombe Abbey Bangkok has introduced an Elite Sports Programme in golf, basketball, football, swimming, rugby and tennis, using the campus’s Olympic-standard pool, FIFA-standard pitch, tennis and golf facilities and basketball courts. The school will publish full details soon. Talented players can also apply for a Dove Scholarship for Elite Sporting Ability (Years 3–12).
Little Doves Playdate for ages 2–5
The Little Doves Playdate is a morning for children aged 2 to 5 and their families, with hands-on activities, play and discovery at the school from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Entry is free, and places are limited to a small group of families each month. The next playdate is on Saturday 28 November 2026. BLC can book a place for you, and the school lists each new date at wycombeabbey.ac.th/little-dove-playdate.
Part of a growing international network
Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok is being developed through a partnership between Wycombe Abbey, BE Education and Rabbit Holdings, a subsidiary of BTS Group Holdings. It joins a small but growing family of Wycombe Abbey international campuses that already includes schools in Hong Kong and several cities in mainland China, including Changzhou and Hangzhou, with a new school in Singapore launching soon.

Yes. Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok is part of the Wycombe Abbey family of schools, linked to the leading UK boarding school. It opened in Bangkok on 24 August 2026.
From Nursery (age 2) through to Year 13, following a British curriculum.
Yes. Families can choose flexi boarding by the day, weekly boarding or full boarding. Meals are included for boarders.
Book a campus tour and assessment on the same day; together they take about 1 hour 45 minutes. Assessments run daily from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and the school is flexible around family schedules. The assessment is free.
From Year 1, children sit Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning, followed by a review from the Head of Junior or Senior School, and an interview if needed. In the Early Years (Nursery to Reception) the assessment is play-based.
Nursery and Pre-Reception have about 16–17 children, Years 1–8 about 20 per year group and Years 9–10 about 27 per year group.
Yes. Lunch and snacks are included, and EAL support is built into each student's timetable.
Yes. There is a Welcome Wednesday tour every week, a Friday in Action mock class most months, and a Whole School Open House on the fourth Friday of each month.
Yes. The Dove Scholarship Awards for August 2027 entry cover Academic Excellence (Years 7–10), Sixth Form (Year 12), Elite Sporting Ability (Years 3–12) and Music & Arts (Years 3–12), with awards of 25% to 100% of tuition. Applications close on 16 November 2026, and the Scholarship Awards Day and Open House is on Saturday 14 November 2026.
