IELTS Academic Writing
Two writing tasks in 60 minutes, marked by a teacher. These are estimates from a shorter placement test, not an official IELTS score.

About this IELTS Writing paper
A free IELTS Academic Writing placement paper from the British Learning Centre. No account is needed to take it.
Task 1 (describe a chart in at least 150 words) and Task 2 (an essay of at least 250 words) in 60 minutes, typed with spell-check switched off, as in the computer-delivered test.
Writing cannot mark itself. A teacher at the British Learning Centre marks both tasks against the four IELTS writing criteria, so there is no band straight away: sign in and it is in your results once it has been marked.
It is shorter than the real paper, which is why the band is an estimate. These are estimates from a shorter placement test, not an official IELTS score. For all four skills, Speaking included, and a teacher's report against the band you need, start a personal assessment plan.
