About this IELTS Reading paper
A free IELTS Academic Reading placement paper from the British Learning Centre. No account is needed to take it.
One academic passage and 13 questions in 20 minutes, in question types from the real test: matching headings to paragraphs, True / False / Not Given, and completing sentences with words from the passage.
It is marked the moment you hand it in. You see your score, an estimated Reading band and the answers you got wrong.
It is shorter than the real paper, which is why the band is an estimate. These are estimates from a shorter placement test, not an official IELTS score. For all four skills, Speaking included, and a teacher's report against the band you need, start a personal assessment plan.
